From Design School to Real-World Impact: André’s 10-Week Journey at Rubus

We’ve had the pleasure of having André Børsting with us at Rubus for the past ten weeks as a Marketing Design Intern (August - October). Working remotely from Denmark, André joined us from Zealand – Academy of Technologies and Business, where he studies Multimedia Design with a special interest in marketing, video, and graphical design. You can explore his creative background here: andev.dk

Designing with Purpose

During his internship, André has taken part in a wide range of marketing and design initiatives — from content production to event branding and video storytelling.
He quickly became an integral part of the marketing team, helping us refine and expand our visual identity across multiple channels.

Here are some highlights from his time at Rubus:

  • Designed digital marketing content for LinkedIn and Google.
  • Produced product videos, including one featuring our new AI solution.
  • Created brochures and business cards for Expo Real in Germany.
  • Restructured our Canva workspace, introducing predefined templates for future use.
  • Produced a recap video from our customer event in Oslo this September combined with a 3-day visit
  • Contributed to the design process for the big display ad screens at OBOS

Tools, Learning, and Takeaways

Throughout his internship, André worked with tools like Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and ChatGPT Pro, alongside our core systems such as Notion and Slack.
When reflecting on his experience, André highlighted the flexibility, creative freedom, and exposure to real business challenges as key parts of his learning journey.
“I’ve learned that 80% is often good enough — speed and creativity are more important than perfection. And most of all, you have to stay playful when you work.”

A Big Thank You

We’re grateful for André’s enthusiasm, creativity, and professional growth during these past 10 weeks. He’s left behind an impressive collection of design work — and an even stronger creative culture in our team.

Thanks for everything, André — and best of luck with your studies and next adventures in design! 🌟
